Amazing fireside chat between Broadcaster and Seneca Alumni Melanie Ng and Jenn Harper – CEO and Founder of Cheekbone Beauty Cosmetics INC – the first Indigenous-owned beauty brand. Many insightful nuggets of knowledge were shared, but I love how Jenn incorporates the seven grandfather teachings in building the core values of Cheekbone. Two she highlighted – Humility and Love. Humility – Someone will always know something you do not. Constantly be thinking about that. Love – Love for community. Love for human beings. Love for the planet. 💚 🌳 🌎

The evening closed with Leigh Simpson-Ahwanaquot, Seneca’s Manager, Odeyto and First Peoples, who shared her powerful personal story and a beautiful and moving smudging ceremony.
