Heart disease is the number one killer of women worldwide and the leading cause of premature death in women in Canada. Yet women continue to under-studied, under-diagnosed, under-treated, and unaware.

Learn about heart health for women and your personal risks. Knowledge is power.

Learn symptoms of heart attack and stroke as they can sometimes differ from men.

Know your numbers – Blood Pressure, Blood Sugars and Cholesterol.

Learn lifestyle changes that can have a positive impact on your heart health.

Listen to your body.

Make sure a health care professional takes your concerns seriously.

If you think you may be having a heart attack ensure the Emergency Department or healthcare professional runs a Troponin test.
